Residents Against Muskoka Poverty
We have beauty and nature in abundance and so many of our residents, permanent and seasonal, work to increase that beauty and protect the natural world that surrounds us. But we also have scarcity that inhibits our region’s ability to thrive – most dramatically seen in the lack of accessible and affordable housing, permanent and well-paying jobs, support services, broadband, and transportation. Improving these conditions and overcoming these barriers would make life better for all of Muskoka’s residents and visitors.
RAMP was formed to shine a light on these barriers to prosperity. It partners with local organizations who work to help people lift themselves out of poverty. RAMP’s key work is to raise awareness that poverty exists in Muskoka and through its members and their networks to help build support for Programs that Lift those in need. Consider supporting their terrific work.
