By now, you would have heard our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declare in his recent address to the nation on Sept. 23 that gathering as families this Thanksgiving, in our beloved Muskoka, may not happen.

Disappointing for many. But for many others who struggle to get by day to day, not huge on the disappointment scale.

Why you ask? For approximately 13 per cent of permanent Muskoka residents, Thanksgiving is not high on the priority list when facing each regular day is a challenge.
